I have no memory of this place

marcicat*Got an email from the property management company yesterday. 'Please test your thermostats to make sure they are working properly.' Which seemed, okay, kinda suspiciously helpful? I am not used to helpful reminders.
*But it was pretty chilly here this morning (41F degrees outside, 66F degrees inside), so I turned on the heat.
*It made the clicking sound of activation? And there have been periods where air has come out of the vents. It's been 45 minutes or so, and the temp has gone up to 67F degrees.
*Here's the thing: I can't remember how the heat usually works! Was it like this last winter? I don't know!
*But I think it is maybe not working as intended. Currently I am using the 'let's give it a few hours and see what happens' strategy. (Partly because I'm going to feel silly if it really is working, and partly because I haven't had to use the new 'request maintenance' online system, and that sounds hard.)
