the power of procrastination

It's amazing how much I can get done when I'm trying to avoid working on my nanowrimo notes. Truly, a superpower.
This week I have made zero notes, but I have:
*Made a Halloween costume.
*Sorted all my clothes.
*Started thinking about Christmas gifts. (For me, haha. I mean, also for other people, but that was less successful.)
It's like as soon as part of my brain says 'hey, nanowrimo's coming, you should think about that,' another part of my brain leaps in front and says, 'BUT CONSIDER THIS! DOING ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING ELSE!'
