marcicat | a wealth of boxes

I found SEVEN more boxes yesterday! (Empty boxes, to be clear. Seven full boxes would likely not be a cause for celebration at this point.)

Also, found is maybe not the right word. A while back I fired up my 'more enthusiasm than good sense' DIY skills and faked up a headboard for my bed. (aka I duct taped together a bunch of flattened boxes, wrapped a quilt around them, and pinned it in place with sewing pins.)

It worked surprisingly well, actually, which remains a surprise to me to this day. But it wasn't the sort of 'solid' that you could move, even if it hadn't been much more valuable to me right now in its component pieces: BOXES. So now I have some more boxes, pre-decorated with duct tape, AND I even found the box with sewing things so I could put the pins somewhere useful.

(What I do not have is seven box covers. I have five covers. I think the other two were cut apart for various 'I need some flat cardboard' projects. But open-topped boxes will be useful too!)
