unexpectedly fun!

Yesterday I wasn't feeling so great (allergies, maybe?) and in the evening I wanted to read something, but nothing stressful, and nothing I'd already read many times before. I wound up reading my own 2021 nanowrimo Douluo Continent fic and it was so fun! I mean, there was definitely a little bit of 'who are these people?' but I also laughed a lot.
I remember thinking when I was writing it that the fic had zero conflict and zero villains, and that is absolutely true and I loved it. All the conflict happened before the story started, and it's just 50,000 words of soft epilogue. Perfect for my need to only have soothing comfort on my screen for a while.
(Note: It's been two years and I still teared up about the Haunted Vine and the garden. I just love that plant!)
