That's a direct quote from the description of a meeting being held today, on site. New uber-boss (boss's boss's boss), everyone's being called in to meet them in the same physical space, etc, etc.
But that quote! I HAVE QUESTIONS.
1. The rest of the description already clearly indicated this is a meet-and-greet type of event. (The new boss will speak, others will listen, presumably.) Was there a need to specify that no preparation is necessary?
2. And if there WAS a need, does that mean we were supposed to think preparation was necessary? What kind of a mind game is this???
3. Look, I'm not saying that anything bad is going to happen in this meeting. Logically, that seems unlikely. I'm just saying, from a certain angle, the phrase "no preparation is necessary" is way up there on the ominous scale.
