oh, work

I wasn’t going to post about work again, but this one was too good not to share. We’re changing the way we offer one of our services, so at the start of last month we made a push to make sure everyone’s email addresses were correct. I got the un-fun job of calling people we didn’t have an email for, and wound up getting a whole lot of nothing in most cases.

In the meantime, we’ve sent out three emails regarding the change.

TODAY(!) I got a call back from someone I called back at the start of July.

CALLER: “You called me a few weeks ago, asking for my email address. I’m just getting around to calling back now. Why do you need it?”

ME: “We’re changing one of our programs, and wanted to make sure we could inform everyone about the change in a timely manner.”

CALLER: “What? When is this happening?”

ME: “Well, now, actually.”

CALLER: “But I never received any emails about it!”
