movie review: Salmon Fishing in the Yemen

Fun movie! Nice music, pretty scenery, likable characters who respect the choices that other characters make. (Plus, bonus Tom Mison, who I totally did not recognize from Sleepy Hollow and had to google.)

Very Eddie Izzard British, in that there are actual multiple conversations that pretty much go like this:

“Oh.”
“Yes, hello.”
“Well, you see.”
“Ah.”
“Yes.”

Typically these are held while the characters stand or sit quietly near each other. Sometimes in their pajamas, or barefoot! All of which was very satisfying, actually.
