someday, maybe someday

I have been “working on” the same fic since March. I use that term loosely. Words were written in March. And words were written in August. Some words were also written between those times. It is possible none of the words follow a coherent narrative thread.

Someday I would like to be done working on this fic. I dream of that day. I look forward to the arrival of that day with great anticipation. That, I believe, will indeed be The Day.

These are the stages of writing for me:
1. excited!
2. writing!
3. excitement wanes; slowly slog to some sort of wrap-up
4. determine that the *next* fic will most certainly be better
5. repeat
